Gay Pride Prague 2019

Prague

Prague Pride Days full of culture, entertainment and tolerance in summertime Prague.
Following the example of other European metropolises, the Czech Republic started supporting LGTB culture in 2008. Since then the streets of Czech cities have been regularly illuminated by rainbow colours. That goes for Prague as well as Brno, where the tradition of marches supporting the rights of lesbians, gays, transgender and bisexuals was born with the support of the famous Czech tennis player Martina Navratilova. Three years later the rainbow parade marched through Prague. Each year the event is joined by more and more people from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad, who are drawn to it not only in support of human rights but also thanks to an interesting accompanying programme and the relaxed atmosphere.
